About the product

Can man rule nature? Munich-based artist Judith Eggers believes that this is impossible. In her performances, installations and objects Eggers focuses on the uncontrollable forces innate in nature. She is particularly interested in those natural phenomena which other people tend to consider repugnant or threatening. Her work is full of creepy-crawly creatures, things that burst open and bulge, often accompanied by sounds and orchestrated light. The artist sees nature as strong, incalculable and not something that can be explained entirely. This is also visible from her work which leaves the viewer with a feeling somewhere between alarm and anxiety. Out now, this artist’s book shows her work from the past seven years.
