About the product

Concentration and condensation as well as boundaries and dissolution play a central role in Roland Stecher's large-format drawings. He is looking for the origin of form, his interest lies more precisely at the point where forms begin to form.

By bringing one line into relationship with or in contact with another, Roland Stecher creates something new, something completely different. In Aristotle's sense, the whole is more thatn the sum of its parts. IN more recent philosophy one speaks of emergence, the phenomenon by which some spontaneously and unpredictably ocurring properties of a complex system cannot be explained by its parts alone.

The writer Wolfgang Mörth, the composer Gerald Futscher, and the scientist Roman Lichtenecker were invited to contribute to this publication from their individual perspectives and working methods.
