»Golden women ›after‹ N?« The new artist book by André Butzer brings together ten large-scale paintings, ten colourous and expressive images of women. Each of them poses the crucial question: What remains in actual fact, after representation and figure, colour and expression have already vanished? André Butzer, born in Stuttgart in 1973, was co-founder of Academy Isotrop in Hamburg in the mid-nineties. Today, he is one of the internationally most influential as well as controversial painters.
