The inspiration from the living interconnection of the arts is the focus of this publication. Texts and pictures tell of events that were in the discursive context of the former "Symposia of European Sculptors". Writers were invited to St. Margarethen in Burgenland for the interplay of creative energies between art and literature in the Literatur Raum im Bildhauerhaus. Each event featured a specific topic to which the texts and/or performances, often written specifically for this purpose, refer. In this way, memories of the avant-garde of international sculpture symposia were anchored in the stream of history, contextualized and related to narratives of the last fifty years. The sculpture house became what it was originally: an anti-museum space of artistic encounter.
