"utendørs outdoors" is a monographic publication on the work of Norwegian artist Camilla Løw with a foreword by artist and art critic Sune Nordgren, an introduction by architect Alison Crawshaw, an essay by art historian and curator Lavinia Filippi, and an interview with gallerist and designer Julia Muggenburg, Belmacz, London. The publication shows the artist’s extensive commissions for public sculpture, mostly in Scandinavia, and situates them in a broader international context. Ten extensive and significant public commissions, including Oslo National Academy of the Arts and the Skjold Military Camp, are illustrated in detail from conception to execution. Løw considers the possibilities offered in urban and rural environments: evolving and shifting relationships between open space, sculptural form, and the individual. The book coincides with the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus.
