The Austrian painter, graphic artist and ceramist Edgar Tezak (born 1949 in Graz, lives and works in Stoob/Burgenland) presents a large, site-specific work on paper for the first time in winter 2021/22 at the tresor of the Bank Austria Kunstforum Wien. Project to Infinity is a 60-meter-long, expansive image program, a personal as well as universal iconography that draws from religion, mythology, and contemporary history, short-circuiting yesterday with today and tomorrow.
The artist's book captures Edgar Tezak's Project to Infinity in images and words, addresses both the background and the interpretive possibilities of the extraordinary project, and, with the help of clever book design and a Japanese binding, immerses the reader once again in the exhibition experience.
