The oeuvre of the Austrian artist Iris Andraschek is marked by an interest in motifs from everyday culture and social-political issues. The relationship between humans and nature, alternative lifestyles, and questions concerning a more equitable way of living together are recurrent themes in her art. Communication is a central aspect of her research-based works. This perspective is mirrored in projects that focus on the personal experiences of people.
The richly illustrated catalogue Iris Andraschek. I love you :-) offers the first comprehensive survey of Iris Andraschek’s artistic production over the last thirty-five years; it was created in the course of her exhibition at the Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz. The publication brings together essays by Philippe Batka, Katrin Bucher Trantow, and Gabriele Mackert along with a selection of short texts on the individual groups of works. Enclosed within the book is a poster with views of the exhibition.
