This book presents the projects undertaken in the last ten years by the Fonds Kunst am Bau Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Land Salzburg[1] and situates them in the context of a current discourse concerning art in public spaces. With a focus on the realized works, five essays shed light on various thematic fields: temporary projects in public spaces (Susanne Neuburger), art in hospitals (Hildegard Fraueneder) art projects in schools(Hedwig Saxenhuber), ten years of the mobile pavilion White Noise (Roman Höllbacher), and art projects at the Chiemseehof with an evaluation of the reaction of the users (Hildegund Amanshauser). These articles are complemented by four interviews with the artists Michael Kienzer, Anita Leisz, Michaela Melián, and Markus Schinwald about the projects they realized and the manner in which they approached these creative challenges. In addition, all 41 realized projects are represented with a text and photographs.
