Adam Saks’ paintings are situated in permanent transformation: figures, plants, symbols, and writing appear only to vanish again in amorphous colour or exuberant planar ornaments. He reminds us of a life in and out of colour which at times loses and regains itself at another place. Reminds us that for a life to be complete both beauty and fright are needed. It is for this very persistent ›in- and exhaling of the world‹ to reveal the immediately sensible and utmost vivid pulse of Adam Saks’ painting.
The book was published on the occasion of the exhibition at Kunstverein Reutlingen.
