The exhibition “Stone Telling” in the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich investigates the potentials in the reception of feminist science fiction literature in contemporary art. The artistic positions map out an alternative narrative space—in line with Le Guin’s Carrier Bag—full of symbioses, humour, natural histories, the pressing need for change, and an ethic of continuity. The works illustrate the necessity of queer-feminist, speculative storytelling as the foundation of a utopian diversity of coexistence.
